Meridian Energy

Meridian Energy logo

Meridian Energy generates electricity from renewable energy sources - water and wind. These renewable sources don’t create greenhouse gas emissions, but the company still works hard to reduce the emission produced by the rest of their operations, for example air travel and office electricity.

The challenge the company has set for itself is to maintain a programme of ongoing emissions reductions, communicate its broader work in sustainability to a crowded marketplace, and back up its claims with strong evidence. CEMARS® certification provides a framework to deliver all these benefits, and adds credibility to the company’s already strong brand position.
