Christchurch International Airport Limited is carboNZero certified

The measure, manage (reduce), mitigate (offset) and market steps of the carboNZero programme guide individuals and organisations on the journey to take effective action to reduce their impacts on climate change.

For individuals:

There are a number of things individuals can do, from action plans that change the way you live, to simple, easy-to-achieve steps that make a practical difference. Use the household and travel & tourism calculators to measure your greenhouse gas emissions then use our tips and ideas on the manage page to reduce energy use and waste around the home and further reduce greenhouse gas emissions through your travel and lifestyle changes.

For organisations:

There are many compelling reasons why organisations need to take action to reduce their impacts on climate change. Measuring your greenhouse gas emissions through the small enterprise calculator or by preparing a greenhouse gas inventory enables you to identify the opportunities for reducing emissions and realising cost savings. Sourcing high quality offsets or carbon credits ensures that you can promote your carbon neutral status with confidence.

For events

There is a comprehensive package of resources for events and conferences to minimise greenhouse gas emissions and waste during the organisation and running of events. We have developed a unique measurement approach that enables events to promote their participant or certified status prior to and during the event without compromising the requirements of the carboNZero programme.
