Leaders' climate change challenge
The carboNZero team has challenged New Zealand's political and business leaders, ambassadors and celebrities to measure their personal household greenhouse gas emissions or carbon footprints. We believe that leaders "walking the talk" will inspire others to take action. - Households
The average New Zealander is responsible for about 8 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions resulting from general day-to-day activities such as commuting to work and heating the home. Find out how to measure your household greenhouse gas emissions or carbon footprint and view the extensive range of options available for reducing your emissions.
-
Travellers and tourists
Travelling (particularly air travel) for reasons such as holidays and business trips, can generate significant unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions. We offer the tools to calculate and minimise your travel emissions. If you've had a holiday in New Zealand there is an option to include the accommodation and activities that you enjoyed during your visit.
